The extract is made here
Bio-Botanica has extracted botanicals in Hauppauge, New York since 1972. Your finished product is made in the same facility as its actives.
Identity verified before extraction
Each botanical is identity-tested on receipt against its specification before it goes into a tank.
One quality system
Extract and finished product are produced, tested and released under the same NSF GMP and FSSC 22000 quality system.
Custom extracts and blends
If the catalog extract is not the one you need, we develop the extract to your specification and then make the finished product from it.
No middle supplier for the actives
Buying the extract and the manufacturing from one company removes a supplier qualification step and a lead time from your supply chain.
Made to order, never white label
Every lot is made for your brand to an agreed specification. We do not hold pre-made stock for labeling.
What is made in house
The extract, the finished product and the testing all happen in one facility in Hauppauge, New York.
Botanical extraction
Eight percolation tanks extracting more than 20,000 kg of botanicals per week.
Liquid compounding
Batches from 50 to 3,300 gallons, alcohol-free and low-alcohol.
Spray drying
Up to 100 kg per hour on a maltodextrin carrier.
Vacuum tray drying

On-site quality control laboratory

Quality, documentation and 21 CFR Part 111
Dietary supplements are made under 21 CFR Part 111. This is what that means for a brand working with BioB.
Batch records
Every production lot runs against a master manufacturing record and is documented in a batch production record.
Certificate of analysis
A COA is issued with every production order. Samples ship with the specification sheet only.
Identity testing
Each botanical is identity-tested before it is used, as Part 111 requires, in our on-site laboratory.
Supplier qualification
Under §111.75 the manufacturer qualifies its ingredient suppliers. Because the extracts are made here, the supplier of your actives is us.
Certifications
NSF GMP, FSSC 22000, FDA-registered facility, USDA Organic, Kosher and Halal. The scope that applies to your product is confirmed at quote.

Herbal supplement manufacturing: common buyer questions
Do you grow the herbs?
No. Botanicals are sourced from approved raw-herb vendors and identity-tested on receipt before extraction.
Can you make a custom extract for my formula?
Yes. If a catalog extract does not fit, we develop the extract to your specification and then manufacture the finished product from it.
What are your minimum order quantities?
Liquids: 5,000 units per SKU under 8 oz and 2,500 units at 8 oz and larger. Capsules and tablets: 300,000 count per SKU. Powders and lozenges are confirmed at quote.
How long does it take?
About 12 weeks from approved formula and packaging to finished goods. Packaging component availability, not manufacturing capacity, is what usually moves the date.
Private label or custom: which do I need?
Private label puts your brand on a formula from our catalog. Custom means the specification is yours, developed from your brief, and no one else can order it. Both run on the same minimums.
Do you make gummies or softgels?
No. BioB makes liquids, capsules, tablets, powders, lozenges and soft chews.
Can I get samples first?
Yes. Samples ship within 2 business days with the specification sheet. A certificate of analysis is issued with production orders, not with samples.
Who is responsible for label claims?
The brand. BioB supplies the specification, batch records and certificate of analysis that stand behind the label; the brand is responsible for the claims it makes and for its labeling compliance.
Can my product be certified organic?
The facility is USDA Organic certified. Whether a specific product can carry the claim depends on its ingredients and is confirmed at quote.
Do you white label?
No. Every lot is made to order for your brand to an agreed specification. We do not hold pre-made stock for labeling.
